Tracking of dynamic objects within a physical environment for display to a user equipped with a head mounted device is described. A system comprises the head mounted device, a processor in communication with a display of the head mounted device and further in communication with location, motion and orientation systems, each disposed upon the head mounted device, as well as other dynamic objects within the physical environment. The processor maps the substantially real-time location and orientation of the dynamic objects to a virtual map of the physical environment according to location, motion and orientation information provided by each of the location, motion and orientation systems. The processor repeatedly and continuously updates the virtual map according to changes in the location and orientation of the dynamic objects. The processor may further simulate a changing field of view experienced by the user of the head mounted device. |
