摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered alloy body which does not use cobalt as a binding phase and has excellent dynamic characteristics, such as fracture toughness, and a cutting tool using the sintered alloy body which has an unlimited applicable range and is capable of making a product life longer.SOLUTION: A sintered alloy body 100 gives a multilayer structure having a surface layer 10 and an adjacent layer 20 adjacent to the surface layer 10, the surface layer 10 has a surface binding phase containing iron component and aluminum component, and a surface hard phase containing carbide component, the adjacent layer 20 has an adjacent binding phase which contains iron component and aluminum component at a content higher than that of the surface binding phase, and an adjacent hard phase containing carbide component, and a difference between the thermal expansion coefficient of the surface layer 10 and the thermal expansion coefficient of the adjacent layer 20 is less than 4.0×10K.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
