A lubricant composition comprising as a lubricant base, a polyalkylene glycol of at least 20% by weight of the total lubricant composition; and an additive at about 0.1-3% by weight of the total composition, the additive comprising (1) alkylated phenyl-α-naphthylamine; and (2) 2,2,4-trialkyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline or a polymer thereof of the structure:where n=1-1000 and R is hydrogen, alkyl, or alkoxy;
wherein components (1) and (2) are present at a weight ratio from about 1:5 to about 5:1. |
