The present invention is a lithium secondary battery including a case wherein a main chamber, accommodating an electrode assembly and an electrolyte, and a sub-chamber, accommodating a supplementary electrolyte, are formed. The purpose of the present invention is to provide the lithium secondary battery capable of moving the supplementary electrolyte of the sub-chamber proportionate to a consumed amount of the electrolyte of the main chamber, when the same is consumed. According to the present invention, the lithium secondary battery comprises: the electrode assembly; the case wherein the main chamber, accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrolyte, and the sub-chamber, accommodating the supplementary electrolyte, are formed; and a coupling unit configured to connect the main chamber with the sub-chamber. The supplementary electrolyte, accommodated in the sub-chamber, can be moved to the main chamber through the coupling unit. |
