The invention relates to a spark plug of an internal combustion engine, preferably for spark-ignition gas engines, comprising a spark plug housing (2) that surrounds an insulating body (1) and comprising a center electrode (3) and at least one ground electrode (4) supported by a ground electrode carrier (6), wherein the ignition surface (12) of the center electrode (3) and the ignition surface (26) of the ground electrode (4) are surrounded by a wall (8), which forms a chamber (5) open on the combustion chamber side.
