PREDICTING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TRENDS

Community development is supported by a community rating. Community ratings for various communities are compared to identify a preferred community. Historical community ratings are determined for the preferred community. Community rating trends are identified for the community and these trends are used for predicting future community rating(s) to support development decisions.

extracting a first data set from a knowledge base; determining a first community rating based, at least in part, on the first data set; extracting a second data set from the knowledge base; determining a second community rating based, at least in part, on the second data set; and forecasting a third community rating based, at least in part, on the first and second community ratings; wherein: the knowledge base includes a collected data set from one of a free public access website and a subscription-based information service; the first community rating is representative of the current community data; the second community rating is representative of the historical community data; the third community rating is based on forecasted community data; the first data set includes data defining a first attribute for a first time period; and the second data set includes data defining to a first attribute for a second time period.
