The purpose of the present invention is to provide a fuel injection device such that valve movement during the opening of a valve completes in a faster amount of time and stabilization of the injection amount is promoted. This fuel injection device comprises a movable iron core 404 that can be displaced relative to a valve body 102, a fixed iron core 401 that faces the movable iron core 404, a first spring member 405 that biases the valve body 102 in the closed valve direction, and a second spring member 406 that biases the movable iron core 404 in the closed valve direction. The fuel injection device has abutting parts 102c, 404b' that abut each other when the movable iron core 404 is displaced in the open valve direction with respect to the valve body 102, and the fuel injection device has a gap g1 between abutting part 102c and abutting part 404b' when in the closed valve state. No spring force acts between the movable iron core 404 and the valve body 102 in a state in which the movable iron core 404 and the valve body 102 are moving in different directions after the movable iron core 404 collides with the fixed iron core 401 during open valve operation. |
