A control unit identifies, using an image processing unit, an object of interest which is a nearby object moving toward a vehicle, on the basis of a time-series change in a camera image captured by a camera. The control unit identifies, on the basis of a measurement result from a measurement unit and the time-series change in the camera image, the distance between the object of interest and the vehicle. When the object of interest has come within a predetermined distance from the vehicle, the control unit causes the camera image including the object of interest to be displayed on a liquid crystal display while being enlarged or reduced in size by the image processing unit, on the basis of a magnification ratio for making the size of the object of interest in the camera image stored in a storage unit to the size of the object of interest as reflected on a half mirror. |
