The present invention relates to an image display device, a method for operating the image display device, and a computer-readable recording medium. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the image display device may include: a voice acquisition unit which acquires a voice inquiry articulated by a user; a display unit which displays an inquiry list comprising candidate inquiries having the meanings which are same as or similar to the obtained voice inquiry; and an operation execution unit which performs operation related to an inquiry selected from the displayed inquiry list. The image display device provides candidate inquiries, related to the inquiry articulated by the user, to the user and provides search or answer information for the inquiry if the user selects the inquiry.
