PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device which can improve at least pixel characteristics while stabilizing well potential in an effective pixel region.SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device comprises: a plurality of pixels composed of photoelectric conversion parts and pixel transistors, respectively, which are formed in a semiconductor well region; element isolation regions between the pixels and in the pixel; and a well contact part for applying fixed voltage to the semiconductor well region, which is provided at a position in a row where an amplification transistor and a selection transistor are lined and closely lined with a diffusion layer on a side where at least the selection transistor is connected to a vertical signal line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
