The present disclosure relates to a method for producing polymer microparticles, the method comprising a step for polymerizing, in the presence of a dispersion stabilizer, vinyl monomers in a hydrophilic solvent that dissolves the vinyl monomers and the dispersion stabilizer but does not dissolve the polymer that is produced. In the method for producing said microparticles, the dispersion stabilizer contains macromonomers having a carboxyl group and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the middle of the molecular chain, the macromonomers have, on average, 1.4-2.5 ethylenically unsaturated groups per molecule, and the average value of the carboxyl group content in the macromonomers is 0.5-2.5 meq/g. |
