PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover member for a treatment instrument, which can be simply and inexpensively manufactured and which can prevent bacterial contamination.SOLUTION: A cover member for a treatment instrument is a cylindrical sheet member 11 that has elasticity enabling insertion of a treatment instrument 2. A front part is formed with a diameter smaller than a diameter of a rear part so that the cover member can be brought into intimate contact with a peripheral surface of the treatment instrument 2.
