1. A spinal stabilization system comprising:
a fastener, a torsion shaft, a relief member, and a compression nut defining a longitudinal axis, the fastener comprising a post, a threaded shank extending distally from the post, and a socket, the torsion shaft comprising a proximal section having a tool-receiving recess and a distal section configured to be received within the socket, the relief member comprising a body having a bore extending longitudinally therethrough and a proximal end having a tool-receiving recess, wherein the relief member is configured to mate with the torsion shaft; and a compression nut comprising a body having a bore extending longitudinally therethrough and a proximal end having a tool-receiving recess, wherein the compression nut is configured to mate with the relief member, wherein a length of the stabilization system is variable by translating the compression member along the longitudinal axis relative to the relief member. |
