PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide patterned gradient optical films that have regions that include variations in optical properties, such as the refractive index, haze, transmittance or clarity or a combination thereof.SOLUTION: A gradient polymer film comprises: a binder 310; and a plurality of nanovoids 320, at least 60% of which have void sizes of 70 nm or less.
