PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulator having improved heat resistance at high temperature over 1150°C and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a heat insulator by mixing raw materials containing alumina particles having an average particle diameter of 100 nm or less of 52 to 93 wt.%, one or more crystal transition inhibitors selected from silica particle, quartzite, talc, mullite and silica fume of 1 to 45 wt.%, one or more kinds of radiation scattering agent selected from silicon carbide, zirconia, titania, iron oxide, chromium oxide, zinc sulfide and barium titanate of 0 to 40 wt.% and a reinforced fiber of 1 to 20 wt.% to prepare a mixture, pressing molding the mixture to prepare pressing molded body and firing the pressing molded body. There is provided a heat insulator having heating linear shrinkage when heated for 24 hours at 1200°C of 5% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
