PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nutrient fortifying composition, a hydration supplement and a process for preparing the same for enhancing the well-being of the nutritionally deficient humans, by providing a zinc and copper fortifying composition and its use in a hydration supplement.SOLUTION: A zinc and copper fortifying composition for enhancing physical strength for use in food products comprises: zinc lactate gluconate; a copper ion source; and class II preservative (202). The amount of zinc lactate gluconate is about 32.25 wt.% to 34.37 wt.%. The amount of the copper ion source is about 42.5 wt.% to 45.2 wt.%. The amount of class II preservative (202) is about 18 wt.% to 22 wt.%. Also provided is a hydrating supplement containing the zinc and copper fortifying composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
