In a conventional storage system that serves as an asynchronous remote copy, it was not possible to switch an access destination from a primary storage device to a secondary storage device without downtime. Accordingly, in the present invention, when an access-request reception destination is switched from a primary logical volume to a secondary logical volume, the secondary storage device acquires data on the difference between the primary logical volume and the secondary logical volume and causes such differential data to be reflected in the secondary logical volume. In addition, for an access request sent to the secondary logical volume in which the differential data is being reflected, the secondary storage device manages, as an updated storage region, a storage region of the secondary logical volume pertaining to the access request. |
