The invention relates to a system and method for inductively recharging batteries of electric vehicles, said system comprising a primary circuit (100) having a power converter (103), a controller and a primary winding (101), a secondary circuit (200) having a secondary winding (201) connected to a battery (3), and a detector which is adapted to detect an electrical magnitude at the outlet of the power converter (103), and which is linked to the controller. The controller is configured to dynamically estimate the state of charge of the battery (3) based on the measured electrical magnitude, and to act on the power converter (103) based on the estimated state of charge in order to adjust the charging power that is wirelessly transmitted from the primary circuit (100) to the secondary circuit (200) and thereby optimise the charging current of the battery (3).
