The invention relates to a method for producing a spindle (40; 80) for a ball screw, comprising the following steps: - introducing, at least in sections, a thread profile (12; 52) into a flat material section (10; 50), - shaping the material section (10; 50) to a hollow cylindrical case (30; 70), two lateral edges (18, 20; 58; 60) of the hollow cylindrical case (30; 70) abutting each other and the thread profile (12; 52) being oriented radially outwards, - connecting the two lateral edges (18, 20; 58; 60) of the hollow cylindrical case (30; 70), and - forming, at least in sections, a supporting structure (42; 82) on the radially inner face of the hollow cylindrical case (30; 70) to finish the spindle (40; 80). A spindle (40; 80) for a ball screw in hybrid design can thus be manufactured in a simple manner. The spindle (40; 80) can be produced cost-effectively and yet has high wear resistance and excellent mechanical load-bearing capacity as well as little weight. The invention further relates to a spindle (40; 80) manufactured according to the invention, for use in a ball screw. |
