COOLING STRUCTURE OF A VOLUTE TYPE AIR COMPRESSOR

The present invention relates to a cooling structure of a centrifugal type air compressor operating an impeller using a motor to compress an air. The cooling structure of a centrifugal type air compressor comprises: a motor housing having an inlet port and an outlet port enabling a coolant to enter a cooling flow passage, wherein a cooling space unit forming the cooling flow passage in a rear end is embedded in parallel to a rotational shaft; and a cover coupled to the rear end of the motor housing and covering the cooling space unit to form the cooling flow passage. The present invention can cool the motor and a rear bearing and is easily assembled by a piece fastening method to improve productivity.
