PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to obtain retrieval result which reduces a mental load of the user through simple processing.SOLUTION: An image retrieval device calculates a rotation angle in a process of calculating a local feature amount necessary for retrieval, determines, when displaying an image as retrieval result, necessity of rotation normalization on the basis of an estimated rotation angle, and displays, if the rotation angle is equal to or more than a predetermined value, a sample image rotationally normalized with reference to a query image. Accordingly, a user can reduce a load caused by mental rotation when confirming the retrieval result, and obtain the retrieval result while suppressing the amount of calculation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
