PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording method capable of reducing curl amounts of plain paper just after printing, excellent in image quality and high speed printing response to plain paper, good in discharge stability and excellent in dryness on general-purpose printing paper.SOLUTION: A transfer amount of pure water to recording media at contacting time of 100 ms measured by a kinetic scanning liquid absorption meter is 1 mL/mto 10 mL/m, the transfer amount of pure water to recording media at contacting time of 400 ms is 3 mL/mto 25 mL/m, a recording ink contains at least water, a water-soluble organic solvent and a coloring agent and contains one or more polyalcohol having an equilibrium moisture content at a temperature of 23°C and humidity of 80%RH of 30 mass% or more and an amide compound represented by the general formula (I) as water-soluble organic solvents.
