PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data transmission of a secure physical data, using spatial multiplex.SOLUTION: A transmitter 110 includes an encoder 106, a plurality of modulators 108, and a spatial multiplexer 112. The encoder 106 encodes an input bit stream 102 to be a plurality of coded bit streams 114 to be output. Each modulator 108 receives each one of the plurality of coded bit streams 114 to be modulated and provides a modulated output signal. The spatial multiplexer 112 spatially multiplexes the plurality of modulated output signal to insert it in a spatial multiplex waveguide (multimode fiber) 130. The modulated output signal is inserted in one mode of a multi-mode fiber or one core of the multi-mode fiber. To recover a first input bit stream, a part of a plurality of modulated output signals which are spatially modulated corresponding to an input bit stream must be inspected simultaneously and in a spatially selected manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
