PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse osmosis membrane module in which it is possible to detect whether a gas enters from the exterior into a container which accommodates a reverse osmosis membrane.SOLUTION: A reverse osmosis membrane module 10 includes: a container which is configured be hermetically sealable and has a space 21 for accommodating a reverse osmosis membrane 12; pressure reduction means 40 for maintaining a gage pressure in the container 20 in the range of -5kPa to -30kPa; and a pressure detector 50 for detecting a pressure in the container 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
