The light deflecting element is characterised by a rotatably mounted transparent solid body (18.5) and a rotary drive (18.7) configured to rotate the transparent solid body, wherein the transparent solid body has at least two partial volumes (18.1, 18.2) which have different refractive indices, and which are separated from each other by at least one inner light-refracting boundary surface (18.3), wherein the transparent solid body is arranged such that the light-refracting boundary surface is located in the light path when the transparent solid body rotates and that the rotation angle position relative to the incident laser light (22) changes when the solid body rotates.
