Provided is a sliding component that achieves both of the conflicting conditions of sealing and lubrication, that promotes the circulation of a fluid on a sliding surface, that prevents the occurrence of sediment on the sliding surface, and that is capable of maintaining the sealing function of the sliding surface over a long period of time. A pair of the sliding components which slide relative to each other are provided, said sliding components being characterized in that: a fluid circulation groove 10 that communicates with a high-pressure fluid side via an inlet and an outlet and that is separated from a low-pressure fluid side by a land section is provided to the sliding surface of one of the sliding components; and an interference groove 15 that generates pressure fluctuation with respect to a fluid within the fluid circulation groove 10 is provided to the sliding surface of the other sliding component so as to communicate with the high-pressure fluid side. |
