The present disclosure relates to a noise suppression device, noise suppression method, and program that can suppress noise stably and effectively. Signal processing that generates a reference signal representing the waveform of noise is performed on the basis of an estimate that estimates acoustic characteristics in channels from a set number of speakers to a microphone. Signal processing is performed on an error signal representing the waveform of an error measured from the microphone in accordance with amplitude frequency characteristics determined from the acoustic characteristics. Then, the reference signal is referenced, and in order to make the error signal become 0 a filter coefficient is calculated in accordance with the appropriate algorithm, and in accordance with the filter coefficient, a control signal obtained by filtering the reference signal is supplied to each of the set number of speakers. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a noise cancelling system for a closed space such as the interior of a vehicle. |
