PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe treatment agent and a treatment method for enhancing adhesion between artificial hair and a user's own hair capable of achieving a high adhesive effect.SOLUTION: There is provided a treatment agent for enhancing adhesion between artificial hair and a user's own hair containing a reductant agent as an effective component. As for the reductant agent, there is a case where one or more types are selected from a group consisting of thioglycollic acid, cysteine, and their salts. There is also provided a treatment method for enhancing adhesion between artificial hair and a user's own hair including a step for preparing a treatment agent, a step for brushing a user's own hair and/or a step for treating a user's own hair with the treatment agent, a step for cleaning a user's own hair, and a step for drying a user's own hair.
