The invention relates to a rolling unit for machining running surfaces of axles for rail vehicles. The rolling unit comprises at least one deep roller with which the running surfaces which are to be machined are subjected to deep-rolling after the production of the axle, when new, or at a later moment in time after the re-profiling for increasing the service life of the running surfaces. The aim of the invention is to provide a related rolling unit with which the running surfaces can be rolled using deep rollers in the advancing method. According to the invention, the rolling unit comprises a base (1) on which a support arm (2) is arranged perpendicular to the base surface, and a receiving element (5) is supported thereon. Said receiving element is fixed in place in the support arm (2) on one side by means of a thread and an angular contact ball bearing (4) is arranged thereon, supporting a deep roller (3) having at least two different rolling radii (R1; R2). |
