Disclosed is a collision prevention device for an elevator. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the collision prevention device for an elevator comprises: a limiting member protruding from an wall surface of an elevator shaft to a limit line set on the wall surface of the elevator shaft near a highest floor or a lowest floor; a collision prevention unit provided with a prescribed structure formed into a shape meshing with the limiting member if an elevator running along the elevator shaft ascends or descends beyond the limit line, and arranged on the outside of the elevator; and an emergency stop device to receive a joining force generated by the limiting member and the prescribed structure meshed with each other from the collision prevention unit to stop the elevator. |
