Provided are a method and apparatus for pairing a user equipment, which are applied to a multi-user multi-input multi-output system. The method comprises: a base station determining a wave beam corresponding to a user equipment from formed wave beams; judging whether a relevance distance between the wave beams corresponding to any two user equipments is greater than a pre-set distance; when the relevance distance between the wave beams corresponding to the any two user equipments is greater than the pre-set distance, determining that the any two user equipments serve as paired user equipments; and when the relevance distance between the wave beams corresponding to the any two user equipments is less than the pre-set distance, determining that the any two user equipments are not paired. By means of the embodiments of the present application, interference between paired users is effectively inhibited. |
