PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asynchronous serial data acquisition device and an asynchronous serial data acquiring method capable of suppressing acquisition timing error of serial data with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An asynchronous serial data acquisition device includes: a counter 14 which counts frequency of clock input specifying acquisition timing of serial data containing a start bit; and a changing part 16 which changes an upper limit of the counted value corresponding to the start bit counted with counter 14, according to transition of clock at a timing of input of the start bit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
