The invention relates to a capsule (1) comprising a preferably rotationally symmetrical capsule body (2) with a lateral wall (3) and a base (4) which is integrally formed with the lateral wall in particular. The capsule further comprises a lid which covers the capsule body in order to form a closed interior (11). The interior (11) is equipped with a chamber (6) and an injection space (9), and the chamber (6) contains a substance for preparing a liquid food and is closed by a cover (8). The injection space is arranged outside of the chamber and is separated from the chamber by a chamber wall (10). A pressurized liquid can be injected into the injection space from outside the capsule, and at least one opening (12), preferably precisely one opening (12), is provided in the chamber wall (10) between the chamber (6) and the injection space (9) such that a liquid jet enters the chamber (6) through the opening (12) when a pressurized liquid is injected into the injection space (9) and the liquid jet is directed towards the cover (8). |
