A connector (FC) is provided with a housing (40) having: a terminal housing section (41) in which a terminal element (30) is housed; and a hood section (43) which is disposed so as to surround the front end side of the terminal housing section (41). When the housing (40) is fitted to a counter-housing (20), a lock arm (50) provided to one surface of the hood section (43) elastically engages with the counter-housing (20), and both the housings (20, 40) are held in the fitted state. When a release section (55) provided at the rear end of the lock arm (50) is pressed and the lock arm (50) is forcibly elastically displaced, the engagement of the lock arm (50) with the counter-housing (20) is released, and both the housings (20, 40) are permitted to separate from each other. A flat plate-like reinforcement plate (65) is formed on the surface of the terminal housing section (41) which is located on the side opposite the lock arm (50), and the reinforcement plate (65) extends in the direction in which both the housings (20, 40) are fitted to each other. |
