Disclosed is an apparatus for processing wastewater by using algae including: a methane fermentation tank which generates methane (CH_4) by decomposing organic materials in wastewater by anaerobic reaction; an organic material removal tank which receives supernatant of the methane fermentation tank and removes the organic materials; an algae producing tank which produces algae by using an effluent product of the organic material removal tank; a nitrification tank which oxidizes ammonia nitrogen by using oxygen generated by the algae producing tank; a settlement tank which performs solid-liquid separation of the algae and nitrified microorganisms generated by the algae producing tank and the nitrification tank, respectively; a thermohydrolysis reaction tank which thermohydrolizes a solid phase material obtained by solid-liquid separation; and a denitrification tank which denitrifies a liquid phase material obtained by solid-liquid separation. According to the present invention, the speed and efficiency of decomposing the organic materials existing in the wastewater are increased by a hydrolysis process. In addition, transmittance of light, needed to produce the algae, can be increased by reducing the concentration of a solid product in an algae reaction tank by removing the organic materials and solid materials which remain after an anaerobic treatment and before insertion into the algae reaction tank. |
