摘要 [Problem] To move, even slightly through the will and effort of its owner, a muscle or a joint which is not prone to free movement owing to paralysis, and to detect with a sensor the site, direction, and intensity of the movement arising on such an occasion. To generate a pulsed magnetic field in accordance with the level of the sensor signal, cause large muscle contractions with magnetic stimulus, and increase the movement of the muscle. To provide a technology with which a neural network is built utilizing brain plasticity, and rehabilitation is efficaciously carried out. [Solution] The displacement of a muscle or a joint through spontaneous movement is detected with either an optical sensor, an ultrasound sensor, or a magnetic sensor, and a sensor output potential corresponding to the site, direction, and strength thereof is used as a trigger signal. In one or more magnetic stimulus coils which are connected to a pulse power source, a magnetic pulse is emitted with an intensity and number of iterations corresponding to the trigger signal level. With the magnetic pulse, the motor area of the brain, peripheral nerves, or the muscles, are magnetically stimulated, increasing the movement of a paralyzed muscle.
