The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vacuum cleaner comprises: a cleaner main body; an ultrasonic wave transmitting part; a suction device; an ultrasonic wave receiving part; and a control part. The cleaning main body includes a plurality of wheels and a plurality of motors for driving the wheels, respectively. The suction device is connected to the cleaning main body, sucks dust and air, and guides the sucked dust and air to the cleaning main body. The ultrasonic wave transmitting part is included in the suction device to transmit an ultrasonic wave. The ultrasonic wave receiving part is included in the cleaner main body and includes a plurality of reception parts to receive the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the ultrasonic wave transmitting part. The control part determines the position of the ultrasonic wave transmitting part based on the ultrasonic wave received by the ultrasonic wave receiving part and drives at least one of the motors when the cleaner main body needs to be moved toward the ultrasonic wave transmitting part, of which its position has been determined. The cleaner main body is able to be moved as following up a movement of a user such that the user has no need to directly move the cleaner main body, thereby improving convenience for the user. |
