A mobile media control console comprising a lectern style housing, a media electronics module mounted in the housing and an umbilical cable 8 carrying electrical power or control signals to the module wherein the umbilical cable has either a permanent or lockable attachment 9 to the console and a fixed external installation. The cable 8 may be toughened or reinforced and a security cover may be provided over the fixed external installation. The media module may be lighting, a media player, an amplifier or a microphone. The body of the housing may have wedge shaped wings 2 which can fold out, a rack for mounting items, a near field communication point, a flip up ledge 13, a lockable storage area 4, a cable access box 14, an extending panel 3 and a power usage meter. The cable 8 can act as a secure tether to prevent theft. |
