The device (1) has a side directing part and a vertical directing part arranged on the side directing part for receiving the rocket launching container (20). The side directing part has a lifting element for lifting and lowering the vertical directing part. The lifting element is designed as a pivotable raising lever. The lifting element is pivoted over a linear drive. The linear drive is hinged to an azimuth directional platform with one end and to the lifting element with another end. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a launching device with a transport platform; and (2) a method for directing a rocket launching container.
