A parquet floor block is provided on its underside with a tar-like covering of dove-tailed or like cross - section forming projections on said underside. The underside of the block may be grooved so as to improve the adhesion of the tar-like material, the grooves being of triangular (Fig. 1), rectangular (Fig. 2), half round or dove-tailed cross-section.
