The present invention relates to a composition comprising a Nasturitum officinale R. Br. extract, as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating bone diseases, and to a food composition for promoting bone growth, and preventing and alleviating bone diseases. The composition of the present invention promotes osteoblast proliferation, activation, and mineralization, and increases a marker related to bone generation in vivo and bone density, thereby being effective in preventing and treating bone diseases, and promoting bone growth.
