摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for detecting a lesion. More specifically, provided are an apparatus and a method for detecting a lesion, which detect a three-dimensional coordinate located in a three-dimensional medical image by an estimated lesion detected from a two-dimensional medical image, and then detect a lesion by setting a three-dimensional region of interest (ROI) to the three-dimensional medical image using the detected three-dimensional coordinate, thereby remarkably reducing the time required for detecting the lesion, and also enhancing accuracy in detecting the lesion. The apparatus for detecting the lesion comprises: a two-dimensional lesion detection unit for detecting the expectation lesion from the two-dimensional medical image by using a two-dimensional lesion detection algorithm; a three-dimensional coordinate detection unit for detecting the three-dimensional coordinate of the three-dimensional medical image through the expectation lesion detected by the two-dimensional lesion detection unit; a three-dimensional interest region setting unit for setting the ROI to the three-dimensional medical image by using the three-dimensional coordinate detected by the three-dimensional coordinate detection unit; and a three-dimensional lesion detection unit for detecting the lesion in the ROI set in the three-dimensional medical image using a three-dimensional lesion detection algorithm.
