The present invention is to provide an apparatus for automatically selecting defective components which can accurately select a defect by being applied to an assembly component modularized by assembling multiple unit components. The apparatus comprises: an electronic scale unit which measures the weight of an assembly component and determines whether the assembly component is normal or abnormal; a component moving unit which moves the assembly component determined as normal by the electronic scale unit, to a storage box; and a warning lamp which displays whether the assembly component determined by the electronic scale unit is normal or abnormal, wherein the electronic scale unit includes multiple electronic scales capable of independently measuring the partial weight of each area by dividing the assembly component into multiple areas. A reference range with respect to the total weight of the assembly component for determining whether the assembly component is normal or abnormal and a reference range with respect to a partial weight of the assembly component shared in each electronic scale are set. The determination whether the assembly component is normal or abnormal is performed as follows. Only when the sum of the partial weights measured by the electronic scales of the electronic scale unit falls within the reference range with respect to the total weight of the assembly component and the partial weight of the assembly component measured by each electronic scale falls within the reference range with respect to the partial weight of the assembly component shared in each electronic scale, is it determined that the assembly component is normal. When the sum of the partial weights measured by the electronic scales of the electronic scale unit exceeds or falls below the reference range with respect to the total weight of the assembly component or the partial weight of the assembly component measured by each electronic component shared in each electronic scale, is it determined that the assembly component is abnormal.
