Degradable flow medium for resin transfer molding processes

It is described a flow medium (130) for assisting a resin (240) to be transferred into a mold (100, 105) accommodating a layered structure of reinforced material (120). The flow medium (130) is configured in such a manner that when the resin (240) is cured the flow medium (130) becomes incorporated within a final composite component comprising the reinforced material embedded within the transferred and cured resin (340). It is further described a semifinished product comprising such a flow medium (130) and a method for producing a composite component by utilizing such a semifinished product.
