PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having a still larger capacity and having excellent charge/discharge efficiency.SOLUTION: This battery comprises an electrolyte together with a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The positive electrode or negative electrode has an active material layer provided in a current collector. The active material layer includes, as an active material, a spherocrystal graphitized substance of mesophase microspheres provided with pores. The number of recesses created on the current collector owing to mesophase graphite microspheres in a 5 mm × 5 mm square region on the electrode surface is 85 or less. |
