According to the present invention, a metal-air battery comprises a first and a second battery cell each comprising a cathode metal layer, a cathode electrolyte film, an anode layer using oxygen as an active material, and a gas diffusion layer sequentially arranged, and having an open surface exposing at least a portion of the gas diffusion layer to the outside. The first and the second battery cell are in contact with each other, and an arrangement direction of the open surface of the first battery cell can be different from an arrangement direction of the open surface of the second battery cell.
