The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for operating a base station. The disclosed method for operating a base station comprises the following steps of: allowing a part of a plurality of communication terminal devices to be connected to a first base station through a repeater by adjusting the strength of reference signals for a plurality of base station whose reference signals have different timings; allowing another part of the communication terminal devices to be connected to a second base station through the repeater by changing and adjusting the strength of the reference signals for the base stations in accordance with the load capacity of the first base station; and splitting and allocating assignable radio resource blocks to the first base station and the second station so that collisions of the radio resource blocks are avoided. Therefore, a smooth service can be provided without collision between base stations even if a service is performed for users concentrated in a specific space such as a building or the like, by combining a plurality of femtocells. |
