<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the result of a teaching operation with higher accuracy when the teaching operation is executed for a motor drive system equipped with mechanical brakes to secure a brake open delay time. <P>SOLUTION: According to an inverter device in an embodiment, when a control unit executes brake open control to be exerted following the startup of a motor in cooperation with the variable speed control of the motor, and when brake control data used for the opening control of mechanical brakes is set on the basis of a change in rotational frequency of the motor estimated by calculation based on a phase current detected via an inverter circuit, setting means gives a command to the control unit so as to raise an output torque while the motor has stopped and mechanical brakes are closed, and, after calculating an average value of estimated rotational frequencies of the motor, sets the average value plus a prescribed changed portion of the rotational frequency as a determination frequency. Then, when a brake open command is output, the setting means starts measuring a brake open delay time, and after measuring a duration of time until the rotational frequency of the motor increases to become equal to or greater than the determination frequency as a brake open delay time, records the measured delay time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
