The cover (10) has an elongated cladding shell (12) comprising an outer side (14) and an inner side, and holding recess for holding a component i.e. brake carrier, at a working station. A mounting recess (66) is formed for mounting the component at another working station. A locking lug (20) is attached to the component and provided with a locking recess for enclosing a projection of the component. The locking lug is formed at a longitudinal end of the cladding shell and provided with an upwardly-projecting supporting rod having U-shaped cross-section. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and mounting a component. |
