A method of delivery slot allocation for a customer placing an order for goods comprises the steps of establishing the date and time of the customers previous order and allocating the delivery slot of the future order on the same day of the week and at substantially the same time as the previous order. The allocation preferably happens only if the allocated day falls within a predetermined number of days of the customer placing the order. Also envisaged is an application for a user wearable device 10, such as smartwatch, including functionality for a user to purchase goods or services from a predetermined supplier using the interface of the device, which may include voice communication. The system may use information from devices communicating as part of the Internet of things to determine a suitable delivery slot. |
